Entre los que se encuentran el <strong>ABS<\/strong> o el acido poli l\u00e1ctico o <strong>PLA<\/strong>. Las precisiones alcanzadas mediante esta tecnolog\u00eda se sit\u00faan en torno a 100 micras en el plano XY (de capa) y de 0.05 &#8211; 0.1 mm en el eje Z (esta vendr\u00e1 determinada por el espesor de capa) con acabados superficiales que pueden ser de gran calidad si configuramos espesores de capa peque\u00f1os, lo cual repercutir\u00e1 en el tiempo de fabricaci\u00f3n. Esto es debido a que no fue hasta 2009 cuando se liberaron las patentes y\u00a0 empez\u00f3 a hacerse extremadamente popular y accesible. En cuanto a las m\u00e1quinas denominadas de escritorio nos encontramos con un sinf\u00edn de opciones y casi a diario leemos noticias de nuevos fabricantes que se aventuran con una nueva m\u00e1quina.
