STUDENTS OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING VISIT THE INTA
STUDENTS OF MEDMA AND MECEA VISIT INTA’S FACILITIES
As every year, the students of the master’s degree in aeronautical engineering in mechanical design and structural calculation have had the opportunity to visit the National Institute of Aerospace Technology INTA at its headquarters in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid.
Following EDDM Training’s philosophy and study methodology, it is essential that students not only work hard during the course in the classroom and with specialized CAD / CAM / CAE software, but also see first-hand how they work and research in the aerospace industry. That they can touch and approach aeronautical parts and structures is a fundamental aspect of their training.
This is how, once again, the students have left class and have been able to visit INTA and its facilities. After an orientation talk by professionals and researchers of the institute, the students visited the compact field where various radio frequency and RCS tests are carried out. The star of the visit was an extensive visit to the hangar of INTA, where the different models of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) such as Milano, SIVA, AVIZOR, DIANA or ALO and the CEPA (Test Center of the Ariane Program) are developed. , in which static tests are carried out on large spatial structures of different space programs, among which the Ariane 5 and Sentinel stand out.
INTA is a public body founded in 1942 and specialized in aerospace technological research and development. It covers the areas of R & D in the terrestrial, naval and defense areas and conducts research projects, both alone and in combination with other state agencies and private companies.
