Los alumnos del Máster en Diseño Mecánico Aeronáutico, MEDMA han realizado un curso introductorio a la programación CAM de mano del profesor Santiago Martín Iglesias, responsable de Prototipos e Ingeniería Aditiva en el Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial, INTA.

Durante las jornadas del curso de mecanizado, se han explicado las tecnologías de fabricación por arranque de viruta (fresado 3, 4, 5 ejes, torno), así como las particularidades de piezas mecanizadas diseñadas para el sector aeronáutico. Además se ha realizado la programación de control numérico CNC de un herraje diseñado por ellos mismos, y han entendido que para realizar una correcta programación es necesario conocer ampliamente criterios de fabricación, disponer de un diseño viable y realizar la simulación del proceso en un entorno virtualizado de la máquina a utilizar (Cinemática + Control).
Durante el curso CAM se seguirá incidiendo en los criterios de diseño para asegurar la fabricabilidad de componentes mecanizados.
