La primera edición del nuevo programa se iniciará en noviembre y tendrá, igual que el resto de formaciones de EDDM, un enfoque predominantemente práctico apoyado en el uso del mejor equipamiento técnico en impresión 3D.

Los alumnos trabajarán de forma continua en el diseño y fabricación de piezas con el máximo rigor técnico, clave para convertirse en profesionales valorados y con proyección en el sector de la fabricación aditiva.
EDDM trabaja desde su lanzamiento en construir una propuesta formativa de calidad, basada dos pilares: formatos y metodologías innovadoras y ajuste con el contexto profesional actual. En ese camino, EDDM ha profundizado desde 2013 en contenidos centrados en Fabricación Aditiva: incluyéndolo como parte relevante de su máster MEDMA, a través de la celebración de jornadas divulgativas y del Curso Profesional de Ingeniería Aditiva (CPIA) y ahora también a través del nuevo programa Máster en Ingeniería y Fabricación Aditiva (MIFA).

El objetivo de este nuevo programa es acercar a perfiles técnicos, con o sin experiencia previa en este ámbito, todas las claves y herramientas para convertirse en profesionales con proyección real en esta innovadora tecnología.
El programa de MIFA cubre todos los aspectos de la fabricación e ingeniería aditiva a nivel profesional: diseño profesional y cálculo estructural orientado a la fabricación aditiva, profundización en las diferentes tecnologías y materiales, y multitud de casos prácticos que incluyen el diseño, cálculo, fabricación y ensayo de piezas bajo cumplimiento de requisitos específicos.

Junto con su programa y metodología práctica, el claustro del nuevo máster constituye uno de los principales valores de la formación, ya que como en el resto de programas lo forman destacados profesionales en activo, responsables en los principales proyectos y empresas de este sector. Entre otros el director del programa Santiago Martín Iglesias, coordinador de Fabricación Avanzada en la Subdirección de Investigación y Programas del INTA.
